What a punch records, and how office rules decide where you may check in from.
Attendance → My Day has one button for the day: Check in, then Check out. Each punch records the time in your office's timezone and, depending on your office rules, your location and a selfie.
- An office can require you to be inside its geofence, allow work from home, or allow field check-ins from anywhere. Your admin sets this per office and can override it per person.
- The server decides which day a punch belongs to from the office clock, never from the phone's clock.
- A day with a check-in but no check-out counts only its completed pairs, so forgetting to check out does not inflate your hours.
- Breaks, if your company uses them, are logged from the same screen.
