Record what a deal is worth
Last reviewed
Deal value, quoted price, one-off versus recurring, and deals in another currency.
The Deal value on a lead is the final price the customer agreed to pay. It is the only amount that feeds the dashboard tiles, the Revenue report and the lead list column. It is optional: a lead without a value is simply left out of totals, and every total says how many leads it covers.
Quoted price
Optional, and only a note of the first offer. The form shows the discount between the two. It is never counted anywhere.
One-off or recurring
- One-off: a single amount, such as a property sale.
- Recurring: an amount per week, month, quarter or year, with an optional term (for example 24 months). Reports count a recurring deal at its full contract value; a deal with no end date is counted at one year.
- The yearly run rate (ARR) is shown on the lead and can be chosen as the basis of the Revenue report.
Another currency
Settings → Company sets the default currency for deals and any other currencies you deal in. When a lead is recorded in another currency the form asks for the exchange rate, which is stored with the lead so reports stay consistent later.
Seeing and editing amounts are two permissions, View Deal Value and Edit Deal Value. Someone without them uses leads normally; the money is simply not shown.
