WhatsApp is your real inbox — start treating it like one

· 1 min read

Most lead conversations already happen there. Here is how to bring them into your CRM without losing the thread.

Your customers already message you on WhatsApp, and they expect quick answers. When those chats sit on individual phones, nobody else can pick them up, managers cannot see them, and the context is lost the moment a lead changes hands.

One inbox for the whole team

CRM Dost puts your WhatsApp conversations into a shared inbox that updates live. Each message shows who sent it — a colleague by name, your chatbot, or a reply typed in the WhatsApp Business app — while the customer only ever sees your business name.

Know whether your message landed

Every message you send shows its status: sending, sent, delivered, seen, or failed. A failed message has a retry button, so nothing silently disappears.

Right chat, right person

  • Owners and HR see every chat; managers see chats for leads owned by their team; everyone else sees chats for their own leads.
  • When a new message arrives, the right people get an alert with a Go to chat button — inside the app, or as a push notification when it is closed, on web, Android and iOS.
  • You can message a lead straight from their lead page, so the conversation and the deal live in one place.

The 24-hour window, handled

WhatsApp only allows free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message. After that, CRM Dost switches to an approved template for you, so a follow-up is not rejected by WhatsApp.

Assign every WhatsApp lead to one owner. Visibility follows the lead, so a clear owner means the right person is alerted every time.
