Design an email in the builder, or bring your own HTML

The drag-and-drop builder, the template gallery, your picture library, pasting your own HTML, merge tags, and what happens when you press Send.
AI Email → Compose is where an email is written. Build it by dragging blocks onto the page, start from a template, or paste your own HTML; whichever you choose, the same preview, test send and deliverability check apply before anything leaves.
Build it, block by block
The builder is a drag-and-drop editor for the email itself: drag in a heading, a paragraph, a picture, a button, a divider, spacing, a menu, a video still, social links, a table or a block of your own HTML, and drop in a row of two, three or four columns to sit them side by side. Click anything on the page to edit its words where they are, and the panel on the right holds its colours, sizes, alignment and spacing. Undo and redo cover every change, and Preview shows the finished email at desktop and phone widths before anyone receives it.
- Pictures are uploaded once and kept in your company's picture library, so the same logo is picked again instead of uploaded for the tenth time. Anything the CRM Dost team shares with every company sits underneath your own.
- The Links panel lists every address the email points at — buttons, menus, social links and the unsubscribe link — as a list of fields, so one can be corrected without hunting for it on the page. Your company name and address in the footer are edited there too.
- It works with a finger as well as a mouse: on a phone the panel becomes a sheet and every block can be tapped in rather than dragged.
Start from a template
The Templates tab holds ready-made professional templates — welcome, follow-up, appointment, offer, newsletter, re-engagement, thank-you and announcement — alongside the ones your company has saved. Pick one and it opens in the builder with its layout in place, ready to be rearranged, not just retyped. Change the words, colours and images, then Save as template to keep your version for next time; the gallery template is untouched.
Write or paste HTML
Switch the composer to HTML to paste code from your designer or another email tool. The preview updates as you type and can be shown at desktop and phone widths, so a layout that breaks on a phone is visible before a lead sees it. Switching back to the builder reads that HTML into blocks you can edit — it asks first, because a layout can shift, and declining keeps your code exactly as you wrote it. The deliverability check will point out a missing plain-text version, images without alt text and an email heavier than mail clients tolerate.
Personalise with merge tags
Insert a merge tag for the lead's name, your company name, the sender's name and other lead fields wherever the text should differ per recipient. Each lead receives their own values; a test send fills in sample data so you can see the result.
- Choose the sender identity and the subject. AI can draft the subject and body from a short brief when CRM Dost AI is enabled for your workspace; you edit the draft, and nothing is sent until you press Send.
- Choose an audience — a saved lead filter — as the recipients. See "Build and save an audience".
- Run the deliverability check and send yourself a test. See "Send a test and run the deliverability check".
- Press Send. The send becomes a batch on the Sent tab with a result for every recipient, and you can open it later to send it again.
