Lost your phone? Get back into your account

Last reviewed

Use a backup code, ask your workspace Owner, or send an account recovery request to CRM Dost support.

If you can no longer get codes from your authenticator app, there are three ways back in, in this order.

  1. A backup code. On the code screen choose Use a backup code and type one of the ten you saved. Then, in Settings → Security, choose Move to a new phone and use another backup code to set up the app on your new phone; you get ten new backup codes.
  2. Your workspace Owner. An Owner can reset your two-step verification from Settings → Security; you then sign in and set it up again. If you also belong to another workspace, only CRM Dost support can reset it, because it protects your account in every workspace.
  3. CRM Dost support. On the code screen choose Can't use either?, enter your full name and the phone number on your account, and upload a photo or PDF of a government ID (up to 5 MB).

What happens to your ID document

  • It is encrypted and can be opened only by the CRM Dost staff reviewing your request, and every opening is recorded.
  • It is deleted as soon as your request is approved, declined or withdrawn, together with the name and phone number you typed. Only the decision and its date are kept.
  • You are emailed when we receive the request and when it has been decided. If we approve it, two-step verification is turned off so you can sign in and set it up again; if we cannot verify it, the email says why.

A request can only be sent after signing in with your password, Google or Apple, so nobody can ask us to unlock your account without it.
